It all started in a friend's basement. We worked for free, sold drinks for far too little, and lost about 300 €.

We live in a small German town — the kind of place where the options for a night out run dry fast, and the hubs for culture, trends and real nightlife always seem to be somewhere else. So we stopped waiting to be let into someone else's scene.

That first night was invitation only. We gathered everyone we knew, traded free labor for drinks and food, and packed a basement. Watching our friends melt into the crowd — dancing to the music we played — we knew we'd found something worth chasing.

Because you'd be surprised how many people crave that: the freedom of a night out, fully submerged in the music. It has nothing to do with age, background or culture. Dancing is universal — a way to express yourself and let go of everything the week piled on you.

And it worked. Slowly but surely, Greenhouse became known within our community. We jumped at every chance that came our way, organized events more regularly, and learned and grew with each one. Now we're shaping our city's scene stronger than ever —

more events, more nights, more room for anyone who wants to dance in a space free of judgement. What makes Greenhouse "Greenhouse" is the link between our name and what we stand for:
